For sale is one used wiper door vacuum actuator. P/N 5638504 Correct for Corvettes Late 1969- Early 1971 Replacement for Corvettes 1968-Early 1969 This wiper door actuator features a straight tip vacuum port, which was replaced by a bent vacuum tube in late 1971. It was inteded for a 1969 project that was never put back together. It has sat in a box in storage for many years after being prepped for use. This unit looks to have been refurbished at some point, as the black paint is fresh and the seals have tested for vacuum good. The ports and threads were left bare metal so as not to interfere with the hoses and nuts that mount on them respectively. The threads are in good condition. The vacuum pod has some blemishes and very light dents noticeable under very close inspection.

If you were worried that Renaultsport had lost its mojo after the lacklustre Clio RS, think again: it’s just unveiled the new Renaultsport R.S 01, a wild and focused track racer for the Trophy one-make series. Weighing less than 1100kg thanks to its Dallara-sourced carbonfibre chassis, the R.S 01 has a 3.8-litre V6 engine developing ‘more than 493bhp.’
The engine is borrowed from in-house alliance partner Nissan’s GT-R Nismo high-performance coupe, and is breathed on by two turbochargers. It’s mounted amidships and revs to an angry-sounding 6800rpm.
