Golden, Colorado, United States
Condition:Used

Here's a used original GM 1243384 seat belt interlock override relay as installed on 1974-75E Corvettes.  The seat belt electronics were 'improved' in 1974 to prevent engine startup in the event the car's seat belts weren't in use and seat sensors detected weight in the seat(s).

As a safeguard against system electronic malfunction, the 1243384 relay with its START button was located in the engine compartment to enable an electronic bypass.  This was a short-lived system that was eliminated roughly mid-way through the '75 model year.

There were several suppliers of the seat belt interlock override relay.  This is a used original GM 1243384 with an Essex manufacturer's emboss that's very clean.  It's been bench tested and comes with a no-DOA warranty.

Shipping calculator presumes USPS priority mail service.  Buyer to pay $2 handling fee plus freight at cost (you can define an alternate method of shipment). Sale to complete within 10-days of auction close.

Shocking bald tyre sparks safety warning

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

A TYRE that was completely bald after being taken off a high-performance BMW has sparked warnings from tyre safety charity TyreSafe. The shocking pictures of the incredibly dangerous tyre, whose owner is lucky to be alive, show the extent of the lengths to which some people are pushing the limits of safety. As it is, the tyre would be almost completely ineffective in wet or damp conditions, and how the driver had avoided an accident is a mystery.
