Skoda Yeti and Superb join Skoda’s eco range
Thu, 30 Sep 2010Skoda has added eco-variants of the Yeti and Superb during the launch of its second-generation ‘GreenLine’ range at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The badge now covers the entire Skoda range, employing just two direct-injection, common-rail turbo diesel four-pots across all eight models, both of which are used in VW’s BlueMotion cars. It’s the 75bhp 1.2-litre engine for the Fabia and Roomster, while the Octavia, Yeti and Superb get the 105bhp 1.6-litre unit.
MINI Roadster Concept revealed
Tue, 15 Sep 2009MINI has revealed the MINI Roadster Concept at Frankfurt Just like the MINI Coupe. the MINI Roadster gets a chopped – but open in this case – top with a tilted back windscreen, although from the waist down the Roadster is pure MINI. But the Roadster is promising better handling with the roll over bar shifted forward to just beahind the front seats (there are no back seats) which should make the Roadster more rigid.

And the Nissan GCC signals what the project name suggests – a small car Nissan will market throughout the world. Which infortunately means that the UK – which produced Nissan’s last small car, the previous generation Nissan Micra – isn’t viable as a global producer.
