COTEK 1500 WATT
PURE SINE WAVE INVERTER
This inverter is 2-3 year old, but it sat more than it was used.  It is out of a repossessed Western Star class 8 semi tractor, that took OVER 10 MONTHS to get released to a re-seller.

HERE ARE SOME SPECIFICS:

COTEK SK1500 1500 WATT HEAVY DUTY HIGH SURGE

MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLLED PURE SINE INVERTER

  • 1500 WATTS CONTINUOUS POWER

  • 3000 WATTS SURGE POWER

  • TRUE SINE WAVE OUTPUT ( THD <3% )

  • ADVANCED MICROPROCESSOR

  • POWER ON / OFF REMOTE CONTROL PORT

  • OWNERS MANUAL, & REMOTE INCLUDED

It just finished its 72 hour test I put everything I sell through.  It is cycled up and down with a battery bank, attached to a charger on a timer so the inverter is cycled up and down at about 25%, 50% & 75% max load.  That way I know that it will provide the power it is supposed to from 14.2 VDC down to it's LVD (Low Voltage Disconnect) factory set at 10.5-10.6.  This one shut off at 10.58 VDC.

It has true 3000 watt surge capacity, and one thing many don't understand is the difference between Pure Sine Wave Inverters, & MUCH CHEAPER (not less expensive) Modified Sine Wave Inverters.  The difference is Pure Sine Wave is the power that comes out of a wall socket in a house or business.  60 Hz, or cycles/second.

Modified Sine Wave Inverters are constantly changing the frequency, similar to steps instead of slides (slides or the up and down of Pure Sine Wave).  The constantly changing frequency in a Modified Sine Wave Inverter creates heat, which is wasted energy.  Modified Sine Wave is also harder on electronic equipment, to the point where some can't be powered by M.S.W. Inverters.

Consider this;To Power a 100 Watt light bulb:

A Pure Sine Wave Inverter will use 108-112 Watts to power it (about 90% efficient)

A Modified Sine Wave Inverter will use 133-135 Watts to power it (about 74% efficient)

This means you can power more items with cleaner power.

Please understand that I no longer accept returns.  Due to several instances of buyers attempting

to return something obviously used (I poured sand out of one when I got it back), and I lost my

shirt.  BUT Look at my 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK.  I am proud of it, and

when a problem arises, I deal with it, until it is correct.  This is why I test

everything, and know with 100% certainty that the only thing that could

cause a problem is shipping damage, something out of both the buyers

& sellers hands.  But I have on had 1 thing damaged.  So no worries, bid

&  buy with confidence.  Thanks for looking.

Ford F-150: Diesel model is delayed

Mon, 04 May 2009

A diesel engine for the Ford F-150 light-duty pickup is looking dicey. Ford had said it would sell a diesel F-150 beginning in 2010. Last spring, dealers were shown a 4.4-liter V-8 diesel said to deliver more power and torque than the F-150's 5.4-liter gasoline V-8 and offer a 20 percent fuel savings.

The complete idiot's guide to drag racing

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

First, get yourself a car. A 550-hp dragster will do nicely. Sure, you could run what you brung, but a Miata's stock 1.8-liter would look mighty silly making a pass, and we don't have all day anyway.
