Even though the 2102 Focus ST won’t be ready to roll in to showrooms and out to customers for at least a year, we do have some gen on the oily bits. For example, we know thet the Volvo 2.5 litre lump that did sterling service in the old ST is being dropped in favour of the 2.0 litre EcoBoost.

Mon, 13 May 2013Mercedes has announced the hottest E-class you can buy, the E63 AMG S, will cost from £83,470 in the UK from June 2013. In uprated 'S' guise, the 577bhp/580lb ft exec saloon monster can only be ordered with 4Matic all-wheel drive in left-hand drive markets, but the UK gets only rear-drive cars. And the hunt for new investors intensified this week as a deal worth more than £100 million with a Chinese partner collapsed. Trollhattan factory has been idle since 1 April, halted by cashflow issues which saw suppliers withold parts in response to unpaid bills.
