DSA and VOSA to be merged and rebranded

TWO MAJOR governmental organisations particularly familiar to motorists are to be merged and rebranded under plans to save money. In an attempt to boost service and cut costs, the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) are being turned into a single, new organisation. Transport Minister Robert Goodwill has confirmed the new, streamlined agency will be called the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Mr Goodwill said that during a transition period to April 1 next year, references to the new DVSA would include a statement "incorporating DSA and VOSA".

Strate College in Paris, France, has been working on a Peugeot-sponsored project for the past few months. The project asks 30 students who have been divided into 10 groups to create the exterior design, an interior design, any related products (including accessories or new services, for example) and color and trim details for the premium Peugeot for the year 2030 Though there are no constraints on the technical package, the brief stipulates that the teams must create a scenario that illustrates global change, and design a vehicle that fits into this future environment. Cattle Baron's Ball makes its return to Detroit

Comedian Jay Mohr, the guys from West Coast Customs and singer Kid Rock will be just a few of the stars at the ninth-annual Cattle Baron's Ball, being held at Joe Louis Arena on Oct. 29. The event that benefits the American Cancer Society moves back to Detroit proper for its annual "cowboy" black-tie event.
