Reground Crankshaft, 20 rods, 10 mains. Used in Oldsmobile engines produced between 1959 to 1964. Set now for automatic transmission but that can be changed on a lathe. Gopher crankshaft manual listed her for the 1959-1960 371 V8 auto transmission. The AERA crankshaft manual listed her for the 371 or the 1961-1964 394 V8 you can see that she isn't bored for a pilot bushing. I mic'ed the crank to confirm the ground size of 20/10. Fresh grind not used. You will have to scotch brite off some surface rust but that won't take long. I have many Vintage internal engine parts 1935 to 1980 so please drop a line and I'll see if I can help. Thanks for looking and May God Bless.     Bruce 218-631-104seven

Turin Dream Exhibition

Mon, 17 Nov 2008

The 'Dream' exhibition currently taking place at the Giovanni Agnelli Pavilion Esposizioni in Turin is a stroll through almost 60 years of creativity, which convinced the world of carmakers - and consumers - to accept new stylistic features; demand greater performance and safety; and to create new ways to adapt car interiors to the many demands of business and leisure. One of the main events commemorating Torino 2008 World Design Capital, there are 54 one-off examples and three-dimensional objects on view in the 12 galleries, piazza and atrium, including projects from local design schools Instutito Europeo di Design (IED) and the Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design di Torino (IAAD). IED is showing two projects created by students on its post-graduate course in Transportation Design: the Fiat Panda from 2007 and the 2008 BMW ZX6 - a thesis project created selected as the main photo of the exhibition.

Porsche 911 Sport Classic introduced

Wed, 02 Sep 2009

Porsche has announced a Limited Edition Porsche 911 that will launch at Frankfurt - The Porsche 911 Sport Classic Porsche has plundered its history to build in to the 911 Sport Classic styling cues from the past. The Sport Classic gets a ‘Duck-Tail’ rear spoiler (thank you, 1973 Carrera RS 2.7) and ‘Fuchs-Style’ alloys (ditto – at least in terms of chronology).  You can also throw in to the mix a double-bubble roof (Carrera GT et al) and black surrounds to the headlights, which is evocative of the 1970s Porsche racers. So having thrown every design cue that fits from its history, what else does the 911 SC get?

Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Disco Volante – a new take on the Alfa 8C

Fri, 02 Mar 2012

The Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Disco Volante Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Disco Volante is a homage to the 1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, based on the Alfa 8C and heading to Geneva. The Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Disco Volante – which is quite a mouthful – is a concept put together by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera for this year’s Geneva Motor Show and is a modern take on the 1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, itself a Touring concept based on the Alfa 1900. This time Carrozzeria Touring has taken a modern Alfa as a platform for its creation, the Alfa Romeo 8C, and created a new body in hand crafted aluminium with carbon fibre elements, but under the skin it looks like the 8C stays intact.
