This is Fastheads economy stainless general head rebuild service.  Designed for recreational trail rider this rebuild helps eliminate premature intake valve wear, hard starting and frequent valve shim adjustments at a very low price.  Your head will be returned machined, assembled and ready to bolt on.  We use high quality Kibblewhite or Ferrea stainless steel exhaust and intake valves, Xceyldyne/PSI race grade intake springs with hardened spring locators and new OEM exhaust springs and Viton guide seals.  Our general head service includes soda blasting to remove carbon and dirt and a full inspection. We then machine cut three angle seat profiles using our race developed Rottler SG7 seat and guide machine for perfect concentricity.  Your head is then professionally assembled and vacuum tested.  If it needs exhaust guides, most do, we will give you a call.  It adds $70 to the package.  We can adjust your valve shims for another $35, just ship your head complete with cams, lifters, rocker etc. We suggest paying after we receive your head and do the initial inspection.

NOTE:  The CRF heads are originally equipped with Titanium intake valves that are 40% lighter than the steel replacements.  The extra weight of steel and heavy springs to control the extra mass reduces the power by 2 or more hp, rev a bit slower and have more of a tendency to float at high RPM's.  To retain full power or if you hit the rev limiter occasionally, race or have a modified motor we highly suggest our Ti package for $499 or our most popular Extreme Option for $699.  Our chromium nitrite PVD coated Ti valves last as long as steel and when used with Beryllium seats they outwear and are more reliable than any other system on the market.   Please check out the service menu in the pictures for this ad.

Call 435-668-7776 for current ETA's and questions.

Is this supercharged V8 destined for the Corvette ZR1?

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

This is a big week for spy shots, and apparently a friend of a friend of a “friend” snapped this little ditty of what could be the motor of the next Z06, or ZR1. Corvette Online nabbed the shot of a supercharged LT1-looking V8 mill; they cite the injector cover shape and the throttle body. The site also noted the twin-rotor supercharger with an LSA/LS9-style pulley on the front.
