Saab's CEO Jan Ake Jonsson to retire after almost 40 years with Saab It’s been a difficult period at Saab, what with trying to survive as GM came close to closing the Swedish car maker down in the absence of a ‘suitable’ buyer, through being taken over by Spyker and then trying to replace their entire range. And it’s taken its toll on Saab boss Jan Åke Jonsson. It’s been announced that – after nearly 40 years with Saab – 59-year old Jan Åke will step down from his job in May and hand the reins over – temporarily – to Spyker’s Victor Muller until a replacement can be found.

Eterniti Motors sells first Eterniti Artemis at Beijing auto show

Eterniti Motors, which first showed us the Hemera super SUV concept in Frankfurt, then the production version--called the Artemis--in Beijing, sold its first car at the Chinese show. The company took five orders for the Eterniti Artemis, four in standard specification and one bespoke version. The standard Artemis SUV costs $337,500, converted from British pounds.

The social networks have spoken: The Ford Mustang V6 Performance package will now be known as the Mayhem Mustang package. Ford put out a call to its 1.4 million Facebook fans with the question, “What should we call the Mustang V6 Performance package?” More than 3,000 submissions were made via Ford's Facebook page, and almost 6,700 users installed the “You Name It” app. The winning submission came from a fan in North Carolina, who won a three-year lease on the 2012 Ford Mustang V6.
