Cromox STAINLESS STEEL (316) Forged Connecting Link 6mm or 1/4" Marine Grade 60

This is for one (1) quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) connecting link. Each link is hallmarked with a traceability code for conformance.  The links are made in the Metric specification style of 6mm (for the link size). The Imperial equivalent is generally considered to be 1/4". This is a forged link, which for load bearing applications is better than a cast shackle. Rated for overhead lifting. Each link is supplied with the central locking spring.

AISI 316 stainless is a premium grade of stainless and is considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest of conditions.

Grade 60 Cromox components are manufactured by KETTEN WALDER in Germany using the highest quality of stainless steel to achieve market leader quality products. All components are manufactured on state of the art modern machinery. These products are rigorously tested in house and form part of the Cromox chain sling system. The Cromox range of products use the highest levels of design, materials and manufacturing processes to produce the best performing products for use in the harshest environments. Due to the high quality, purity and narrow tolerances of alloying elements in Cromox steel, we are able to produce durable, heavy duty stainless steel products with increased corrosion and crack resistance. The high concentrations of chromium ensures a strong and passive layer of chromium oxide for protection. A precise amount of Nickel creates a shiny surface and other alloys like molybdenum allow for increased Working Load Limit (WLL) and a higher breaking load.

2011 Honda Civic at Detroit

Tue, 14 Dec 2010

The 2011 Honda Civic - debut at then 2011 Detroit Motor Show Honda are previewing the Honda Civic Concept at next month’s Detroit Motor Show and have releaed a sketch to let us know what to expect. But this isn’t really a concept, it’s the 2011 Honda Civic and it will be on sale in the US by the Spring. Although it’s never particularly sensible to judge a car from a sketch – car companies do like to employ a little artistic license when rendering product yet to be – it seems clear that the 2011 Civic is going to get styling evolved from the Honda CR-Z with a bit of current Civic Type-R aggression thrown in as standard.
