The McLaren F1 LM Prototype (pictured) will be at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed is turning in to a proper treat for McLaren fans. As well as the McLaren P1 making its driving debut at Goodwood this year – and taking on the hillclimb, McLaren is taking a trio of legendary F1 cars to the festival too. On show will be the 1995 Le Mans winning F1 GTR, a car which allowed McLaren to become the first racing team ever to win the Formula 1, Indy 500, Can Am and Le Mans Championships.

Mercedes to make E-Class Coupe Estate?

The Mercedes ConceptFascination - Could make it in to production as an E-Class Coupe Estate Car makers are searching for every niche they can fill with their cars, particularly at the premium end. Audi and Mercedes are big players (we still think the Mercedes R-Class a niche too far), and BMW play the game too, with cars like the BMW X6M and the new BMW 5 Series GT. If the Mercedes E Class Coupe Estate does go in to production it will bring to five the number of models based on the same Class – the saloon, the coupe, the cabriolet and the estate plus this new Coupe Estate.

Bentley Arnage replacement to take on Rolls Royce

Bentley's replacement for the Arnage in 2010 will go upmarket to compete with the Rolls Royce Phantom Bentley has revealed that after Arnage production finally ends in September it will be a full year before the replacement for the Arnage surfaces. Now the sceptics amongst us may put this down to the fact that Bentley are struggling to sell the cars they already make in the current climate, never mind producing an even more luxurious and expensive model. But Bentley say it’s so they can put a clear line under the current Arnage before its replacement arrives late in 2010.
