If you have a Ford Crown Vic,  Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car or Mercury Marauder with adjustable pedals and they no longer move we have the fix! The factory pedal assembly and the factory replacement assembly comes with a plastic driven gear that breaks and leaves your pedals not moving. The gear we have is made out of brass and won't break under heavy use or high heat. We have a complete instruction manual for the do it yourself-er, or you can ship us your pedal assembly and we will retro fit them for you. Mazda marks end of RX-8 production with Spirit R edition in Japan

Mazda will close out the RX-8 sports car's run in Japan with a Spirit R edition, the same way it brought the curtain down on the RX-7 in 2002. But the RX-8 Spirit R won't make it to U.S. showrooms.

The sleek racer – powered by twin diesel engines each producing 750bhp – touched 308.252mph yesterday (Thursday 17 August). That smashes the current diesel car world record of 235.756mph, set in 1973.

Fewer people commuting but distances on the up

The average commute has increased in distance, but more people working from home means there are actually fewer cars on the road at rush hour today compared to 10 years ago, according to statistics from the most recent Census conducted in 2011. Figures show the average commute has increased from 8.3 miles in 2001 to 9.32 miles in 2011. People living in the east of England travelled the furthest to work at an average distance of 10.34 miles – while those in London had the shortest commutes averaging 6.83 miles.
