Cryogenic Processing, Cryogenic Treatment, Cryogenic Tempering
Cryogenic processing or cryogenic treatment (or cryogenic tempering as it is sometimes incorrectly called) is a fascinating and truly spectacular means to increase wear resistance & life on all metals and some plastics.
Cryogenic processing can be the factor that makes a product dominant in its field, that insures the victory of a racing vehicle, that cuts the production costs to increase profits.  It may be the deciding factor in selecting the winner in racing, in production, in product design.

Vintage photos show Ford Mustang I and the elusive XD Cobra

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

It's hardly surprising that our readers want to share their memories of the Ford Mustang -- 50 years is a long time for an automotive nameplate to endure, and the model's upcoming 50th anniversary is as good excuse as any to look back on the experiences that have made the car an enthusiast hit. Take William Drew, who had a close encounter with pony car history when he saw the Mustang I concept, plus a rare Ghia-bodied Shelby Cobra concept, at an auto dealer in Dallas in 1970. His slides (taken with a Yashica camera, he notes) show the unusual cars in the nice, bright colors of Kodachrome.

Tanner Foust jumps a Hot Wheels truck to new record at Indy

Tue, 31 May 2011

Before the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, Team Hot Wheels yellow driver and three-time X Games gold medalist Tanner Foust broke the world record for distance jump in a four-wheeled vehicle. Foust dropped 10 stories down a life-size version of the iconic orange toy track and soared 332 feet through the air. Foust then unmasked himself--his identity had been a mystery up to that point, as shown in the teaser video we posted earlier this month.
