But best not to get too excited – the changes are not immense, although the introduction of the 2010 Lexus IS F-Sport does add a couple of nice cosmetic bits to the mix. The £92,000 Climax Sports Racer British firm Climax has revealed it’s readying a road-going race-car to rival others in the niche like the Ariel Atom and the Caparo T1. Imaginatively named The Climax Sport Racer the new car gets powered by a Ford 4.6 V8 developing 345bhp with a supercharged version offering 415bhp. All that grunt is driven through the rear wheels by a 6-speed Graziano GT ME1 gearbox.

But now, one of the most blue-collar and singularly American marques is going formal: General Motors has told its employees to use the world “Chevrolet” instead of the commonly used “Chevy” nickname. An internal memo distributed this week directs workers to use the official name in all communications, from official duties to simple conversations.
