Ford Focus Electric debut

Sat, 08 Jan 2011

2012 Ford Focus Electric - debuted at CES Las Vegas We expected Ford to debut the electric version of the new Focus at the Detroit Motor Show next week until they did the whole ‘Electric Focus Tease‘ thing last week. Which is probably as clear an indication as you need that the car’s place in the marketplace is becoming blurred with the push towards electric cars.

Monaco Grand Prix (2011) RESULT

Mon, 30 May 2011

Monaco Grand Prix 2011 - it even had overtaking Far from being a long line of very expensive F1 cars following each other round the streets of the Grimaldi Empire, the 2011 Monaco Grand Prix was full of incident, accident and overtaking. Oh, and a dose of petulance too. Let’s cut to the chase: Vettel won yet again – from pole – and extended his lead to the point where many will say he’s un-catchable.

New car registrations continue to rise – up 6.6% in July 2014

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

The Ford Fiesta (pictured) topped the UK sales chart again in July 2014 There must come a point (mustn’t there?) when new car sales/registrations slow down in the UK, but there seems little sign of it happening any time soon. For the 29th month in a row, new car registrations in the UK rose again in July 2014, up by 6.6 per cent on the same month in 2013, hitting a total of 172,907. So far in 2014, new car registrations have risen by 10.1 per cent to 1,460,172, with the SMMT predicting that new car registrations for 2014 will end up 8.1 per cent up on 2013 at 2,450,000.
