This is a "Buy it now" listing for the CTEK model D250S Dual, DC to DC 12 volt smart charger.
Designed for boats & vehicles with dual battery installations.

CHARGER IS NOW IN STOCK.
WE ALSO HAVE THE "SMARTPASS" IN STOCK.

  • With the CTEK D250S Dual, boat/RV/4X4/Trailer owners are assured that their batteries always remain charged and ready to go as energy from the alternator and/or solar panels are used by the charger to provide power to all equipment connected to the vehicle, and also charge both the boat’s batteries at the same time.
  • The D250S Dual provides a five step charging curve to condition, charge and maintain both batteries, increasing performance, extending its life span and, saving user money on unnecessary battery replacement. With around 80% of all battery failures due to sulphation caused by undercharging - a direct result of lack of care and maintenance, the D250S removes lead-sulphate from the plates using its patented desulphation mode before delivering up to 20 amps of controlled charging power.
  • The CTEK D250S Dual has the additional benefit of an auxiliary input which can be connected directly to solar panels without the need for a regulator, offering free power from the sun.
  • The solar cells produce power as efficiently as possible through the CTEK D250S built-in Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) by taking the most efficient source of energy from the solar panels automatically, and then using the power to charge the battery.
  • The MPPT also enables the charger to seek the most effective combination of solar cell voltage and alternator current to maximize incoming power and minimize the time taken for a battery to be fully charged, allowing the battery to constantly remain at its maximum capacity.
  • Multi-step charging from alternators and solar panels
  • Battery separator that eliminates diodes and VSR relays
  • Maintenance charge of starter battery
  • Solar panel regulator with Maximum Power Point Tracking, synchronized
with other current sources such as the alternator and/or wind
  • Simplified installation of remote batteries for bow thrust of anchor winch

The D250S DUAL charger obtains its energy from DC sources such as alternators, solar panels or wind power and optimizes this power to meet the charging requirements of different battery banks. The D250S DUAL automatically selects the best connected DC energy source (of 2) for the purpose and switches between these energy sources to achieve high efficiency multi-stage charging. The D250S DUAL is particularly suitable for charging vehicles that do not have access to grid power supplies. Charging automatically starts as soon as DC energy is provided to the charger, for example, from alternators when a vehicle is started or from solar panels when connected.

The D250S DUAL is a fully automatic 5-stage charger that supplies 20A to 12V batteries of 40-300Ah. The charger is IP65 classified (water jet and dust protected and approved for outdoor use) and protects vehicle electronics. It is suitable for all types of lead-acid batteries (Wet, MF, Gel, AGM). It is supplied with a 2 year guarantee

When car design meets Art Nouveau

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Gray Design has revealed a new concept car called the Nouvair, inspired by the Art Nouveau design movement. The Nouvair, a retro-looking coupé complete with a long hood and trailing rear end, takes inspiration from the techniques and flowing lines favored by one of the pioneers of the movement, Czech painter and decorative artist Alphonse Mucha. Despite the release of five pictures, Gray Design didn't reveal any technical details, just confirmation of its name and its inspiration.
