This auction is for one each brand new M44A3 series 2.5 Ton 6x6 Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) wheel valve.  Click here for many detailed photos of this valve.  Manufacturer part number RCSK17631; US Military National Stock Number (NSN) 2530-01-419-6303.  The M44A3 series trucks include the M35A3 and M36A3 trucks.  This is the latest version of the M35 2.5 ton series truck with many upgrades over the previous A2 models.  M44A3 series trucks are older M44/A1/A2 series trucks (M35A2, the “Deuce”, or “Deuce and a half”) that were retro-fitted with Caterpillar 3116 turbo-charged after-cooled diesel motors, Allison automatic transmissions, super single tires, updated cooling systems, dual master cylinder air-over-hydraulic brake systems, air dryers, and the CTIS systems (among other smaller upgrades such as the modified hood, back-up lights, etc.).  Less than 6,000 of these M44A3 units were rebuilt under the ESP (Extended Service Program) from 1993 to 1999.  To find M35A3 trucks and parts for sale on eBay simply click here.  The US Military is now releasing the M44A3 series trucks in mass and most CTIS components (hoses, fittings, air dryer, o-rings, etc.) are readily available on the commercial market.  This CTIS wheel valve, however, is NOT readily available, because the military chose a single source supplier to manufacture this part.  The military paid $231.67 each for these valves plus shipping and that’s what you’ll pay for them if you purchase them direct from the company that manufactures them.  There has been absolutely NOWHERE else to get these valves brand new other than the original manufacturer – until now.  If you repair, own, or ever plan to own an M44A3 series truck, and you want to get/keep the CTIS system operational, you’re going to need some of these valves so you may as well get them while you can.  Please contact me with any questions about this valve or to inquire about quantity pricing.

Please click here to view my other eBay listings, which include M939 series 5 ton 6x6 diesel powered trucks, small and large diesel generators, and other surplus.

I have moved from WI to TX and am in the process of liquidating the vast majority of my M44A3, M809 series, and M939 series trucks, truck parts, and other US Military surplus items; please click here to see what I have available, determine if there’s anything that interests you, and contact me with your proposal so I can load the item onto my eBay account.

BMW i8 fetching 50% premiums in UK market

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

The BMW i8 (pictured) is commanding a 50% premium The simple rules of a capitalist market is that supply and demand dictate price. Which is why BMW’s i8 hybrid supercar is fetching premiums of up to 50 per cent. With the entire i8 supply sold out for the next year, those with deep enough pockets – and a compelling desire for an i8 – are turning to i8 owners who have already taken delivery and making them offer they can’t refuse.

Dacia Sandero really is cheap – from just £69 a month

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

Renault has boasted about how cheap their Sandero and Duster are, and with monthly payments from just £69, they right. Admittedly, you do need to stick a deposit of £1,845 down if you want to pay just £69 a month, but even if you can only rustle up £699 you can have the duster for £99 a month. At that sort of price – thanks to a deadline offering from just £5,995 – it’s about as cheap a way in to a new car as you could hope for.

End of an era for Dream Cruise landmark

Mon, 06 Dec 2010

One of the local landmarks that adds an authentic feel to Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise has closed. The Vinsetta Garage, an art deco repair shop that dates to 1919 and sits just feet from Woodward Avenue, was shuttered last week as the owner prepares for a new direction in life. Jack Marwil, who owned the shop since 1989, plans to attend law school after the death of his wife this fall.
