Custom Gooseneck Rigid Frame, Xs650 Yamaha Bobber-chopper, Mfg. By Paughco on 2040-parts.com
Spring, Texas, US
Build a super fine retro ride, without breaking the bank! This vintage inspired rigid frame accepts 1970 thru 1984 Yamaha XS 650 engines which are abundant, cheap, and have that retro engine styling reminiscent of early Triumphs/BSA’s that looks oh-so sweet! Gooseneck styled frame features a 30 degree rake, heavy-duty 1 1/2 in. steel front downtube & backbone, 1 1/8 in. side rails, all drawn over mandrel for smooth, clean bends, Mig welded for a stronger weld without all the heat, and fully welded in a secure fixture keeping the frame straight and lined up perfectly during welding. Threaded brackets to mount mid-controls & footpegs are welded to the lower frame rails at the base of the center downtube, and 6 motor mount plates for securing the engine to the 3 lower frame mounts are included and shown on the accompanying image. (You use your stock Yamaha upper motor mount.) The rear axle plate holes are 13/16" (20mm), so you can use an HD type rear wheel and 3/4"axle, or you can run your stock OEM Yamaha rear wheel and axle by using the 2 axle spacers/reducers that come with the frame and shown in the image with the 6 lower motor mount plates Sale price of $899 includes the Frame (regular price $999), Free Freight within continental 48 states (a $150 value) and your choice of Neck Cups (a $50 value) to mount either your stock 1970 thru 1984 Yamaha front end, or Neck Cups allowing you to mount Harley-Davidson style front ends with 1” stems. A total savings of $300!!! Shown also is a picture of 2 different styles of XS650 bikes you can put together using this frame as the base. The Brown bike utilizes the stock OEM Yamaha complete front end, rear wheel assembly, brakes etc, and a great way to put together a slick bobber ride on a limited budget. The other bike shown is our "El Loco" Rolling Chassis Kit featuring HD style springer front end, 21” front & 16” rear wheels etc This combination inspires a chopper theme and a multitude of options on tank, wheels, fenders etc are available to customize it just the way you want! Rolling Chassis Kit # ELROLLER is regularly priced at $3,882, but is on sale right now on e-Bay as well for only $3,299....a savings of over $580, plus Free Shipping...........check it out!
