Custom chopper or Harley Davidson Dyna/Softail Headlight Visor.

I had made this for a project that never came to be. It took me about 15 hours to cut and sand the flames. I hand cut these flames without melting the plastic, what a task. All of the mounting hardware that came from Harley is included.   Believe this to be HD part # 68136-97 but can be custom mounted for your one off project. Will be in Sturgis, South Dakota in August if you want to save on shipping costs.

It's scuffed and ready for primer. Any questions, please ask.

Shipping to Canada and USA. All others please contact me first.

Cars, Culture and the City

Tue, 30 Mar 2010

When you think of American cities associated with the car it is Los Angeles of course that leaps first to mind, thanks mostly to Hollywood, and Detroit second. But New York turns out to have been vital in the history of car design, as I found researching an exhibition Cars, Culture and the City at the Museum of the City of New York as guest curator over the last few months, working with the museums curator architecture and design, Donald Albrecht. The show has just opened, on March 25.

Saab shutdown would doom new 9-5, 9-3 models

Tue, 12 Jan 2010

The new Saab 9-5 sedan and a proposed replacement for the 9-3 will be killed off if General Motors Co. winds down its Swedish subsidiary, AutoWeek has learned. The new 9-5, a longer-wheelbase version of the Opel Insignia and the Buick Regal, is poised to go down in the annals of automotive history as a major rarity--a design that was fully tooled for production yet never got built.

Chat with Web guy Dale Jewett

Thu, 28 Apr 2011

When news about new cars, motorsports and car collectors shows up at autoweek.com, interactive editor Dale Jewett usually plays a role. It helps that Dale has 100-octane blood (with a fondness for Chevrolet Corvettes) and enjoys most forms of racing, keeping the Web site up to date over the weekends. Or you can hear him at times during episodes of AutoWeek TV, or on the weekly AutoWeek radio show on Saturday nights.
