Mounted on a brand new, never used 2010 LePera LK 857 Silhouette Solo seat. I designed and assembled this seat as a way for me to prove my assembly concepts and methods. (they worked exactly as I thought!) Never mounted on a bike, sat on or used, it’s been wall mounted in my shop as a bragging piece but now it’s time to move on. The carved and tooled leather seat panels are molded and contoured to the shape of the LePera seats foam, giving you a full blown custom seat treatment on a realistic, all day riding steel saddle pan with the original manufacturers closed-cell foam for true ride-ability. GM continues work on fuel-saving engine technology

A technology called HCCI improves fuel economy 15 percent and releases fewer emissions by using a combustion process similar to what is used in diesel powerplants. General Motors continues work on the project, which could be applied across a range of engine sizes and used with other advanced fuel-saving technologies to help the company comply with the proposed new mileage and emissions targets announced Tuesday by President Barack Obama.

Thu, 18 Jul 2013More than half of UK sales of the new Peugeot 2008 (pictured) are white cars The Peugeot 2008 – the crossover/SUV take on the new 208 – arrived in production guise at the Geneva Motor Show in March and looked a properly credible effort from the beleaguered French car maker. In fact, when Peugeot announced prices for the 2008 and their UK target sales of 8,000 a year, we thought they were being conservative with their projections, especially as the 2008 starts at a very reasonable £13k. That soon proved to be right when Peugeot announced it was having to double production of the 2008 as sales were much stronger across Europe than they’d anticipated, and it seems the same is happening in the UK.
