Freddie Mercury Lotus Evora to be auctioned for charity

The car has a red, white and gold color scheme said to be inspired by a costume Mercury wore during his 1986 Magic Tour, along with badges of the singer’s signature and silhouette. The seats are emblazoned with Union Jack flags.

One is a rather cool road-going version of the Race Touareg 3 that’s just notched up a victory at the 2011 Dakar rally, and the other is an awful monster called the Touareg Gold Edition. Underneath the skin it’s a genuine version of the latest Race Touareg 3, with a turbocharged 2.5-litre diesel engine, a trick four-wheel drive system and a super-stiff chassis.
Volkswagen acquires Italdesign-Giugiaro
Tue, 25 May 2010The Volkswagen Group and Italdesign-Giugiaro S.p.A. today announced the next step in their successful cooperation. The Volkswagen Group will take a 90.1 percent stake in Italdesign, including the brand name rights and patents.
