General Motors is looking to inject some newfound flair into its North American product lineup. Effective June 1, Bryan Nesbitt, currently Executive Director of Design at General Motors Europe will become Vice President of Design for North America and relocate to the company's technology headquarters in Warren, Michigan. The 38 year old, credited with the forward-thinking but retro PT Cruiser design in 1996, began his career at DaimlerChrysler and became the youngest design executive when he was appointed Executive Director of Body Frame Integral at General Motors in 2002.

2011 Chevrolet Caprice returns to police beat

The Chevrolet Caprice is back on the police beat. General Motors unveiled plans on Monday for a new patrol car that will hit the streets in early 2011. It's called the Chevy Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle, and it will come with V8 and V6 engines, as well as a slew of specialized equipment.

Timeless Chrysler classics debut at Amelia Island

Three decades of Chrysler concept cars from the '40s, '50s and '60s will be on display at the 19th annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance on March 9. The Thunderbolt roadster and Newport will be on hand to show off design elements inspired by the land-speed record duals of the 1930s in Bonneville. The Thunderbolt is being presented on behalf of the Driehaus Collection and the Newport will be provide by The National Automotive Museum of Reno, Nev.
