Scuola Polytecnica Milan - Personal Car Project

In summer last year ten students from the Master's course in Transportation Design at the Scuola Polytecnica Milan took part in a project for FIAT. The work developed from a briefing by the FIAT Advanced Design Centre, taking into consideration the dimensional and content restrictions. One of the concepts which stood out was that of Alessandro Battaglia working on the exterior design, and Alberto Burger, who developed the interior design.

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2009 runs from 17th -27th September to the public Many of the Japanese makers will be conspicuous by their absence, but that should be more than made up for by the launches from the big European makers. And of course the Koreans – in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – will do what they’re starting to do in the market place and fill the gap left by the Japanese. You might never get the chance to dominate the Corkscrew at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., the way Nicky Hayden and Alex Zanardi did, but you can still make your mark on the famous stretch. A spectator terrace is being constructed atop the turn, and racing fans can buy a brick etched with a name or personal message to sit on the walk of fame. It sure beats a tie for Dad on Father's Day, and all of the money raised will go to improving the raceway.
