More Kit For Suzuki’s Popular Swift Hatch

SUZUKI has unveiled a number of detailed updates for its popular Swift hatchback model. The Japanese car maker is focusing on adding more kit and colour choices. Buyers of the SZ2 variant and upwards gain front fog lamps and LED daytime running lights, while the top specification SZ4 model now adds a navigation system with DAB radio as standard.

60mph M1 motorway speed limit proposed

The government has announced a proposal to lower the motorway speed limit from 70mph to 60mph over a 32-mile stretch of the M1. The plan, which has just been put out to consultation, would lower the speed limit to 60mph between junction 28, near Matlock in Derbyshire, to junction 35a, north of Rotherham – in a bid to improve air quality by reducing vehicle emissions. We looked forward to the promised press cars by Christmas 2009, but they never happened as Jaguar worked to make the new XJ as bullet-proof as a car can be. But by the end of May 2010 the first press cars started to arrive and the first customer cars escaped in to the wild.
