Mon, 30 Mar 2009Nissan bosses have been showing the Nissan Qazana to the workforce in Sunderland The Nissan Qazana is an important car, not just for Nissan in this tough economic climate, but also for the workforce in Sunderland. The Qazana, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, is set to take the place of the Micra at Nissan’s Sunderland plant, safeguarding over 1,000 local jobs. And after the official first view of the Qazana at Geneva, Nissan bosses decided it was time to let the workforce in Sunderland have a good look at the Qazana to see what mad-looking motor is going to save their jobs.

Detroit represented the big, bad gas-guzzling old school, but the forward-thinking culture of southern California meant the relaxed atmosphere of the LA Convention Centre was the perfect setting to preview the smaller, more compact and more fuel-efficient future. Fri, 30 Aug 2013Richard Ferlazzo has been appointed General Motors Australia design director. Taking up the position from 1 September, he will report directly to executive director international operations design Michael Simcoe and also GM Holden chairman and managing director Mike Devereux. Ferlazzo will be responsible for Advanced, Production and Global Contract programs and replaces Andrew Smith who left Holden this month to take up the position of executive director of global Cadillac and Buick design at GM's technical center in Warren, Michigan.
