Vintage Daiwa Silvercast 210RL Spin-Cast Fishing Reel with Original Owner's Manual, made in Korea. Reel is in outstanding condition, with no rust, corrosion, or signs of abuse whatsoever. Features a high speed 4.1:1 retrieve. Push button and line pick-up mechanism work flawlessly, and drag adjustment is fully operational. Overall exterior shows a clean, bright, and smooth finish. All graphics are intact and fully legible. Internal areas under cowling are also spotless and in superior condition. Original 15 page owner's manual shows some slight wear commensurate with its age, but is 100% complete. The original reel specs sheet with full parts breakdown schematics is also included. The dated spec sheet indicates an approximate production date of this reel around the year 1979. Overall reel shows as a simply very well cared for piece of fishing tackle. Ford to sell two concepts at auction
Tue, 09 Aug 2011Amongst the numerous one-off concept cars and rare historic vehicles set to be auctioned off at the forthcoming RM Auctions sale in Monterey, California, Ford has contributed two of its own unique concept cars to be sold. All proceeds of the sale will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) charity. The race-inspired 2005 Ford Shelby GR-1 concept and the 2001 Thunderbird Sports Roadster concept will be presented by the world's largest collector car auction house on August 19th in California as part of its Monterey sale. It is believed that the 2001 Shelby will sell for between $150,000 and $200,000 while the 2001 Thunderbird concept will fetch between $125,000–$175,000. There will be no reserve on the cars.

Qualifying was a nightmare with a constant deluge of rain soaking the track and Button seemed to have lost all chance of a win when he started 14th, with team mate – and chief rival for the championship – Barrichello on pole. The race saw Barichello suffer a puncture; Trulli and Sutil almost coming to blows after a coming together that also pitched Alonso out; Raikkonen lost his front wing and suffered a puncture and Kovalainen left the pits with his fuel hose attached, which sprayed fuel on Raikkonen and set fire to his car.
