The new VHX Systems fit directly into the stock instrument bezel of a 1956 Ford Pickup without modification (bezel is not included).

Taking a good thing and making it better, the one-year-only '56 F100 is the high water mark for fifties trucks. Such an icon deserves an iconic instrument system, and Dakota Digital delivers! Easily bolting into the stock dash with an original or reproduction bezel (not included), VHX-56F-PU adds function in the midst of timeless form.

Fully lit needles, backlit faces, and highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. A few of the features which you don’t normally see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors for unparalleled accuracy, and user-customizable display feedback, all supported by an unrivaled limited lifetime warranty which has become the standard for Dakota Digital instrumentation systems. Completely engineered and manufactured at Dakota Digital's facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the VHX Series has completely revolutionized the instrumentation industry!

 *Fits factory bezel, not included.

Audi R8 e-tron: Killed off before it launches?

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

It’s being reported that the electric Audi R8 e-tron is close to being killed off before production starts, as Audi question its viability. But it now looks like Audi has finally woken up and seen the light and they have put the R8 e-tron plans on hold indefinitely as they realise there is just no market for an electric car, never mind an electric supercar. Car and Driver are reporting that Audi’s new head of R&D - Wolfgang Dürheime – has halted all work on the R8 e-tron and it seems highly likely the project will be scrapped altogether.

Skoda Citigo five-door (2012) first official pictures

Tue, 31 Jan 2012

Skoda will show this slightly more practical Citigo five-door at the 2012 Geneva motor show. Mirroring the VW Up five-door, the Czechs buck the tradition of offering a single body derivative in the bargain basement city car sector. It's only in recent years that more manufacturers began to offer a choice of three or five doors in the smallest car segment.
