1957 Chevy Car VHX Instruments

Utilizing the stock instrument housing, this simple upgrade takes advantage of the recognizable triple gauge pod found in the 1957 Chevy Car (bezels shown in pics are NOT included, but can be purchased separately in our store, details below).

Arguably the pinnacle of the 1950's design, the 1957 Chevy dash is a favorite among builders. VHX-57C triples the amount of information available without modification. Stock indicators can be retained, or connected to VHX control box for full integration. Fits original gauge housing (not included) and can be used with factory or reproduction trim rings (not included, sold separately).

Fully lit needles, backlit faces, and highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. A few of the features which you don’t normally see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors for unparalleled accuracy, and user-customizable display feedback, all supported by an unrivaled limited lifetime warranty which has become the standard for Dakota Digital instrumentation systems . Completely engineered and manufactured at their facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the VHX Series has completely revolutionized the instrumentation industry!

*Fits into factory bezel (Bezel not included).

Q: When is a clock not just a clock?
A:
When it is a Dakota Digital VLK Clock. The new Dakota Digital VLK clock is like a Swiss Army knife minus the spoon. When paired with the VHX Analog series instrumentation you will be able to display: Clock, Speed, RPM's, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Fuel Level and Voltage just by connecting a single cable to your VHX Control Box.

If that’s not enough to impress your buddies you can also utilize the new BIM Expansion Modules to display Gear Position, CHT, EGT, Vac/ Boost, Differential Temp, Trans Temp, Fuel Pressure, Nitrous Pressure, Compass, Ambient Air Temp, Intake Temp and Air Ride Pressure.*

*BIM modules and senders are required for the CHT/EGT, Vac/Boost, Diff Temp, Trans Temp, Fuel Pressure, Nitrous Pressure, Compass, Ambient Air Temp, Intake Temp and Air Ride Pressure readings. As a BIM Expansion module and corresponding sensor are added, these displays will also be available for viewing on the main VHX Instrument System and/ or VLK Clock.

**The VLK-57C must be used with a VHX Instrument System. The VLK clock is not compatible with VFD digital gauge clusters and will not operate as a standalone gauge.

Farley described how the Chevette handled some of the rigors of testing, which included hauling four journalists and their camera equipment around the Black Lake testing facility in Milford, Mich.
