Solarix instruments are fully backed by a Limited 24-month Warranty against manufacturer defects and provide the accuracy and performance you've come to expect from Dakota Digital! The 3-3/8" Speedometer and Tachometer incorporate a full character readout that provides an information center showing not only odometer and trip odometer, but also a gear shift position indicator, performance analysis such as 0-60 times, high speed or RPM recall, and menu driven set up and calibration routines. The instruments mount and wire just like their analog counterparts. Easy to install, user friendly to set up, and designed to accurately display vital information, these instruments are truly a breakthrough in digital instrumentation technology.

SLX-01-6 Performance Speedometer/Tachometer (MPH or KPH) SLX-06-1 has a 3-3/8" diameter housing and the following have 2-1/16" housings: SLX-03-1, SLX-04-1, SLX-05-1, and SLX-06-1. **You can get a custom color for this system for an additional $35/gauge (+$175.00 for this kit). Custom colors such as red have VERY poor daytime visibility. We recommend that you stick to the standard colors (blue or teal) for visibility reasons. A custom color will also add a few days to the production time. Please let us know if you would like us to add a custom color to your invoice. This listing is for an Odyssey Solarix Series gauge, with BLUE display. You can choose whether you would like the black or chrome bezel. Also available in a separate listing is the Odyssey Series II gauge with TEAL display, with a black or chrome bezel.

UK new car sales hit a ten-year high
Fri, 07 Feb 2014UK new car sales continue to scale new heights, with more new cars sold in March 2014 than in any month in the past decade. Sales figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reveal that 464,824 new cars were registered last month – a 17.7% rise over March 2014. It continues the trend of rocketing sales, with year-to-date registrations up 13.7%.
80 mph speed limit: Idaho and Wyoming poised to be next
Thu, 27 Mar 2014Idaho and Wyoming could soon see 80 mph speed limits introduced to a number of highways, joining Texas and Utah as the states with some of the fastest permitted passenger car-driving speeds, KMVT-TV in Idaho is reporting. A bill in Idaho would see some sections of interstates go from 75 mph to 80 mph, and other selected highways go from 65 mph to 70 mph, which are probably speeds that drivers are doing anyway in remote and not-so-remote parts of both states. But the Idaho Transportation Department did not lend its support to the bill even though it is given the authority to implement it.
Royal College of Art Degree Show 2008
Fri, 11 Jul 2008The Vehicle Design Masters program at the RCA held its annual degree show a few weeks ago, showcasing an array of transport designs created by the graduating class of 2008. In all, 18 students - including three PhD graduates - developed projects which dealt with the current issues of accessibility, aerodynamics, environmental impact, ergonomics, legislation, materials, production, safety, and technology, as well as the aesthetic principles of vehicle design. Peter Stevens - the first MA graduate - David Wilkie of Stile Bertone, Alfonso Albaisa of Nissan and Peter Shreyer of Kia were just some of the RCA alumni in attendance.
