Dakota Digital Temperature Module - BIM-04-2

The BIM-04-2 is a temperature module that allows you to display additional temperature readings to your VFD3 (rev G) or VHX gauges. The BIM-04-2 utilizes Ground Isolated senders for easy installation without the headache of engine grounding.

Pressure Inputs:

  • Temperature (generic fluid)
  • Water Temp
  • Oil Temp
  • Transmission Temp
  • Differential Temp

Input senders and specifications:

Gauge Display Sender Part # Range High Warning
TEMP SEN-04-5 100- 320F 131- 320F
WATER SEN-04-5 100- 320F NONE SAME AS SYSTEM
OIL SEN-04-5 100- 320F 131- 320F
TRANS SEN-04-5 100- 320F 131- 320F
DIFF SEN-04-5 100- 320F 131- 320F

For Ford Flathead motors there is a special option that allows the system to display the highest temperature reading in the main display at all times. The lowest temperature reading will display in the information center.

**The BIM-04-2 is designed to supply information to the VFD3 rev. G and VHX control box instrument systems only. Earlier control boxes (with an aluminum case) are not compatible with the BIM family of Expansion Modules.

***The BIM-04-2 Supersedes the BIM-04-1

After a rocky start, Honda's CR-Z joins U.S. hybrid derby

Mon, 08 Mar 2010

Honda Motor Co.'s new CR-Z sporty hybrid is the car that nearly wasn't. The wedge-shaped, two-seat hatchback was almost killed twice because engineers weren't convinced it was a unique concept and because U.S. bosses originally didn't want it.

The next McLaren supercar will be called the 650S

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

We've known that McLaren has a pair of additional models in the works, including a Porsche 911-fighting, 12C-based sports car known only as the P13 and another car positioned between the 12C and the P1. Previously, we'd heard the code name “P15” tossed around in reference to that latter car, but McLaren has officially christened it the 650S ahead of its world debut at the upcoming Geneva motor show. According to the automaker, the 650S “takes learnings from both the 12C as well as the sell-out McLaren P1 [ed note: there has to be a better way to say that] and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive's supercar grid.“ We liked the 12C, and we really, really liked the P1.
