The new Universal VHX-1017 Elliptical gauge cluster measures 12.05" W x 5.7" H Inspired by the iconic 1932 Ford instrument cluster, the VHX-1017 is housed in a billet aluminum show chromed housing measuring 12.05" x 5.7". At just 2.5" deep, this instrument system can be used in the most cramped applications, bringing both form and function. Fully lit needles, backlit faces, and highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. VHX System Includes: Analog Gauges
Speedometer - 0-160 MPH (optional metric version 0-255 kmh) Lighting - Back lit technology is popular with performance instrumentation due to precise lighting allowing you see what is truly important when you really need it at a quick glance. Each number, tick mark, annunciator, needle, indicator and digital message center is lit by a series of LEDs behind the gauge face. Digital Message CenterStandard Displays: Odometer (One time user settable, Million Mile) Performance Meters: 0-60 MPH Timer (0-100 kmh) Gauges: Speedometer (0-255 MPH / KM/H) Lighting:

Water Temperature - 1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness. Oil Pressure - 1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness. Cable Drive Speed Sensor/Generator - Replaces GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness (Tremec and Ford style adapters available upon request). Bushings - Each kit comes with 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT bushings along with bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads. Calibration Pushbutton - Dakota Digital instruments are programmed and operated by the push of a button. Simply mount the included pushbuttons supplied with your gauges in a convenient and easily accessible location. These buttons are used to calibrate your speedometer, set the cylinder count and the fuel level gauge. If you believe that) and as far as we can work out, BMW has a very small window to make the 6-Series ‘Concept’ in to a production car. Our sources tell us it’s due to go in to production in March 2011 – that’s just five months away.
Audi R8 China Edition: 80 cars – numbered 1-99
Mon, 10 Dec 2012Audi has produced a limited run R8 China Edition with a total of 80 cars being produced in Blue and Grey numbered 1-99. Not only has Audi produced the China Edition R8, they’ve gone to some trouble to make it as appealing as possible to Chinese buyers by numbering the cars 1-99, but excluding any number ’4′. The number 4 is thought unlucky in China as it sounds like ‘si’, which means death.
Chrysler recalls Jeep Grand Cherokee, Commander
Mon, 13 May 2013Chrysler is recalling more than 295,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander SUVs in the United States for an electrical problem that could cause the vehicles to shift into neutral unintentionally. Chrysler has received 26 reports of crashes and two injuries related to the problem. The Jeep Grand Cherokees are from model years 2005-2010 while the Commanders were from years 2006-2010.
