The RAC believes call outs to cars with punctures but no spare wheel will reach 250,000 a year by 2015, so has decided to roll out its own universal spare wheel as a hassle-reducing solution. The universal spare wheel, which has already been successfully trialled, should become standard equipment for all RAC breakdown patrols by early February 2014. The X1 is the hypercar designed with the help of the Red Bull F1 team - and will star in the highly anticipated Gran Turismo 5 Playstation 3 game. The Red Bull X1 is exclusively revealed in the November 2010 issue of CAR, out now. Adrian Newey, designer of Red Bull's extremely fast but unreliable RB6, designed the X1 in conjunction with Kazanori Yamauchi, the brains behind the Gran Turismo computer games.
