This Listing is for one Chene Slip Ring Anchor. The manufacturer rates this anchor for boats 31 - 35 feet in length. However, based on customer reports and our own experience, we feel this anchor is more appropriately used for boatss 24 ft. to 30 ft. Please see my other auction for larger or smaller anchors.

Exclusive Chene Anchor Features:

  • 100 percent Retrievable: The angle of the slip-ring shank allows the anchor to be 100 percent retrievable. It's the only anchor that can be retrieved straight up without the use of a seperate trip line
  • Requires 70% less anchor Line: The 45 degree holding position enables the anchor to perform best with a 2:1 ratio of anchor line to depth (unlike the 7:1 ratio recommended for other fluke style anchors)
  • No Anchor Chain Required

Proudly Made in the USA!

Features:

  • Quick Penetration
  • Excellent Holding Power
  • Danforth Style Design
  • Excellent Value
  • Recommended for Boats 24' -30' in Length  (always use one size larger for storm anchors)
  • Protective Finish
  • Exclusive Slip-ring design for 100% retrievability

Dimensions are as follows:

  • Length: 15 inches,
  • Width: 15 inches,
  • Length of Flukes: 12.5  inches,
  • Weight: 7 pounds.

These anchors work off of mechanical advantage, not total weight. The weight of this anchor is listed for reference. Do not be concerned about the low weight of these anchors as Fluke style anchors do not rely on weight to hold.

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

Well, that was fast. Just four days after Bob Lutz, General Motors' new marketing honcho, raised the possibility of the Pontiac G8 living on as a new Chevrolet Caprice, he shot it down. "The G8 will not be a Caprice after all," Lutz wrote on GM's Fastlane blog on July 16.

Fiat 500 in New York
