Dart Pro 1's assembled.
I took them to a local engine shop to have them flowed, but upon inspection he said the port work and was not significant and no real reshaping. but the runners and the combustion chambers have been smoothed up.

The springs are huge and say Crower on the retainer. Looks like a solid lifter set up. I believe the retainers to be titanium, but I cant say if the locks are. The valves are titanium 2.080 and 1.600 titanium.

The scorpion rockers are 1.5 ratio and have been milled to clearance the springs.

Come with a set of Jegs brand girdles.

I was going to put these on a sbc 427 I was piecing together, but have moved on from the project.

the heads new bare are around 1500, the springs and retainers are around 300, the valves are around 2000, and the rockers are around 300 before machine work.

thats over 4000 dollars new.

1970 DeTomaso Mangusta: Bring a Trailer special

Wed, 19 Oct 2011

The name means “mongoose” in Italian, and even if this American half-breed never killed a Cobra on the track, in the looks department it’s still lethal. DeTomaso built 401 Mangusta sports cars from 1967 to 1971 before it was axed in favor of the ubiquitous Pantera--a styling step backward in the eyes of your humble author. The Mangusta formula was the same as that for Pantera: a Ford V8 engine (albeit a 302 rather than a 351C) midships in a sleek Italian body.

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

We dove deep into the 2015 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S last Monday, finding the car to be explosive off the line, but also more comfortable thanks to its new electronically controlled adaptive suspension. On Friday, Aston uploaded almost seven minutes of footage of the new brawler at the Silverstone Circuit in England. If you'll remember, the new Vantage delivers 565 hp from its 6.0-liter V12, along with 457 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 rpm.

Major restrictions suggested for learner drivers

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

A NEW report on potential changes to young driver training could cut accident casualties by more than 4,000 a year. The report, from transport research group TRL, recommends teenagers should not be allowed to take their driving test until they are 18, rather than the current threshold of 17. They would have to have a 12-month "learner stage" beginning at 17 with a requirement for at least 100 hours of day-time and 20 hours of night-time supervised practice.
