  Dart Pro1 250 LS1 CNC Bare Aluminum Cylinder Head Dart CNC Ported aluminum cylinder heads for GM LS series small block V8 engines take performance to the next level. Dart's LS1 CNC head is machined on a dedicated casting with extra thick sections to maintain the proper wall thickness after porting. Due to the large diameter intake valves, the dart LS1 CNC head is recommended for use on engines with 4.00 inch and larger cylinder bores. Precise computer controlled CNC machining, multi angle intake seats, and radiused exhaust seats enhance airflow. Extra material above the ports accommodates valve train upgrades. The consistencey and accuracy of CNC machining makes every CNC ported Dart head virtually identical. Our automated five axis machining centers port heads with incredible accuracy, and you get the perfomance benefits at a very affordable price! Heads are sold individually. A jury made up of high-ranking design professionals, including the likes of VW's Flavio Manzoni and Faurecia's Andreas Wlasak, selected winners in the following 11 categories: Best Use of Ambient Lighting Best Innovation Best Production Interior Best Use of Technology Best Lifestyle Interior Best Safety Innovation Best Personalisation Best Eco Design Best Conceptual Interior Best Conceptual Exterior Best Xperience The title of 2008 Student Designer of the Year - and the grand prize of $5000 - went to the Royal College of Art's Pierre Sabas. His four-seater Free Form coupe concept took an inside-out approach to design, consisting of articulated, interlocking seat elements designed to eliminate the need for bulky, constrictive exterior crumple zones, and a sliding dashboard for adaptable ergonomics.
Jaguar Land Rover in talks to buy Aston Martin
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Talks have taken place between Tata – owners of Jaguar Land Rover – and the Kuwait Investment Dar – owners of Aston Martin. We reported a year ago that Aston Martin needed a big car maker behind it to have any chance of survival, and just last week the world caught up with that story as it was revealed the Kuwait Investment Dar – majority shareholder in Aston Martin – was seeking a buyer for Aston Martin. We said a year ago that Jaguar Land Rover was the best fit as a buyer for Aston Martin, but we doubted JLR would want to go back to being the poor relation to AML – as it was in the days of Ford’ ownership of the brands – where a Jag was a poor man’s Aston.
