2013 Mazda MX-5 Facelift on sale next week

Fri, 23 Nov 2012

The mildly revised 2013 Mazda MX-5 – with a new nose and some minor tweaks – goes on sale in the UK on 1st December. Perhaps the only really noticeable bit of the ‘upgrade’ for the MX-5 is a tweaked nose with a slightly bolder front bumper, but there are other changes too. The seven model MX-5 lineup for 2013 sees the arrival of the 2.0-litre MX-5 Sport Tech Nav models – yes, you guessed it, they get SatNav – and the bonnet gets an active bonnet system to pop up if you happen to scoop up a passing pedestrian, mitigating injuries.

This time the aftermarket fettler has turned its attention to Merc’s already rather powerful ML63 AMG off-roader, adding some fairly garish visual modifications and performing some even crazier tweaks underneath the bonnet ahead of the car’s debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Toyota recalls more than 30,000 Prius hybrids in UK

Toyota Toyota is recalling 1.9 million Prius models worldwide as it seeks to correct a software fault in the control system for the hybrid drive system. That’s more than half the total number of Prius cars produced since the hybrid was introduced in 1997. The recall affects the current, third-generation Prius, which has been in production since March 2009.
