Dear Fellow EBAYER,
You may be wondering why eBay shipping charges are going higher and higher. As an eBay buyer, I want you to be aware that eBay has recently changed their fee structure for us sellers, to include an additional, 11% on shipping charges. As a consequence, I have to charge a minimum of a $1 handling fee on everything I sell, to cover eBay's additional 11%! Obviously, they should stay out of the shipping fees, but since they're the only game in town, there's not much else I can do about it. Of course it doesn't end there, afterward PayPal, takes a fee on the total eBay transaction to include, insertion fees, picture fees, listing fees, final value fees, and now shipping charges. Combined, eBay and PayPal on average, take 20% of everything I sell, every month! Further, we sellers have to buy and store most all our shipping supplies like, paper, ink, glue, envelops, boxes, packing and tape. Finally, in order to keep shipping costs down, we have to expend our time and gasoline to drive to the shipping facilities. Once we get there, we have to stand in line, like everyone else, most of the time. So, there you have low-down on Ebay/PayPal Shipping costs!!!!........... Weather still causing commuter chaos
Mon, 30 Dec 2013COMMUTERS had a miserable return to work today as bad weather continued to cause havoc to road travel. A number of major road routes were affected by flooding or by fallen trees, while one lane was closed on the M48 Severn Bridge due to strong winds and a section of the M77 in Glasgow was closed because of flooding. A landslip at Hawick on the Scottish Borders led to hold-ups on the A7, while a section of the A36 in Hampshire was closed due to a fallen tree and fallen power cables.
Vette plant to build high-performance engines
Wed, 30 Jan 2013General Motors is moving its Performance Build Center, which let enthusiasts pay $5,000-plus to build the high-performance engine for their Chevrolet Corvette, from Michigan to the Corvette assembly plant in Bowling Green, Ky. The move is expected to be completed by spring 2014. It will let a Corvette buyer build his own engine, with help from a GM technician, and then see it installed in his car as it goes down the Bowling Green assembly line.
Bankruptcy looms for cash-starved Saab
Tue, 11 Oct 2011The future is growing dim for Saab. Reports from Europe say the Swedish courts might soon declare Saab bankrupt--possibly as soon as Wednesday--because the company is out of cash. Saab recently won court protection from its creditors while it waited for funds.
