Datsun 240z Long Block From Running Car. 240 Z Nissan Engine on 2040-parts.com
Van Alstyne, Texas, US
This is a used Datsun 240Z engine that was rebuilt. I bought this along with a 5-speed for a project, but plans have changed. I tried to sell the engine once before (complete) but everyone just wanted parts off of it, so what you see is what is what you get. The engine turns over smoothly, has a head that says "N47", and a valve cover that says "Nissan 2400.OHC". Unfortunately, the valve cover has a crack in it, but it is in the back and it could be repaired from the inside if you were so inclined.
I recently took the valve cover off to have a look, and was very impressed with the condition and cleanliness of the head. I've added more pictures to illustrate but clearly this is an engine that hasn't seen much use since the rebuild.
I need this gone, hence the price, but I will need it picked up. I'm north of Dallas,Texas (12545) and storage for a short time isn't a problem. The engine is inside a climate controlled garage, and has been for several years while I've owned it.

CAR tech: what's next for car interior design?
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Your new car could soon be as thoughtful, powerful and communicative as KITT from the Knight Rider TV series. That’s the ultimate expression of the connected car, a trend which is intensifying rapidly. Over the next five years, car cockpits will be able to relay more information on bigger, multiple screens and through the windscreen, and you’ll be able to give commands far more intuitively thanks to voice recognition and gesture control software.
Mercedes supercars
Tue, 29 Jul 2008By Tim Pollard 29 July 2008 09:00 The SLR is the fruit of a strange motor industry marriage. Collaborating as they do in motorsport, Woking and Stuttgart decided to build a road car that showcased their full-bodied technical know-how. Perhaps the mixed messages from F1-centric McLaren and luxury brand Merc, or the untold pressure of the seminal F1, were too much, for the SLR has failed to worm its way into our affections.
