But Mike O’Driscoll (MD of Jaguar Cars), speaking at the Shanghai Motor Show this morning, confirmed what we’ve already told you – that the new XJ will be revealed in full on 9th July. The new Jaguar XJ will come with all the Gen III engines in the JLR tool box.

This is according to a new “Switched On Scotland” document, intended to serve as a ‘roadmap’ towards the future that encourages businesses and private motorists to swap to electric vehicles (EVs). The Chrysler Ypsilon is the first new Lancia – in all but name – to get to the UK since Lancia gave up on the UK market after we got fed up with Lancias falling apart back in 1993. But as we’ve taken to the Fiat 500 in droves, there’s a decent chance the UK will take to the grown-up 500 in the guise of the stretched Chrysler Ypsilon with its extra room.
