This is a Day Night Mirror out of dry storage in a wrecking yard that closed down decades ago in dry New Mexico. From what I can find on the internet I believe this is a USA made 936AP accessory mirror made by the same company that made Ford mirrors in the late 1950's.  See the vehicle application listing in one of the photos, please check your application.  The chrome is shiny, bright and reflective and the mirror glass is good.  The swivel mount on the back is snug like it should be with no damage.  It is used so it does have some expected light shop wear scratches and mars, nothing major or that will effect use.  I have tried to show any imperfections in the photos, the camera flash washout and bright reflective surfaces make them hard to see so please look closely at the pictures.   It is in decent usable condition, however I will call it driver quality since it is used and has a very few small bumps on the back.   All in all a decent very usable used mirror from a dry climate that can go right on your vehicle.  I just need to pass it on to someone who can use it so NO RESERVE sold as is.  Buyer pays actual shipping cost with no handling charges and I will combine shipping when possible.  Please email any questions or comments.  Thanks for looking.  The 936AP application list shows Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick & Rambler.

Mercedes and McLaren – the end of the road

The last SLR Stirling Moss ends the McLaren Mercedes relationship Times they are a changin’ for Mercedes & McLaren. The very last Mercedes McLaren SLR – The McLaren SLR Stirling Moss – has now rolled out of production at McLaren in Woking and both Mercedes and McLaren are going their seperate ways. McLaren is working to bring the new McLaren MP4-12C to market by 2011 as a replacement for the SLR, and Mercedes has already launched their replacement – the Mercedes SLS AMG Gulllwing – although it will be a few more months before cars hit the road.

MERCEDES-BENZ has revealed prices for its high-tech S-Class plug-in hybrid model. The car, which boasts 100.9mpg and a 65g/km CO2 rating, will cost from £87,965 when it hits the showrooms later this month. The car is aimed at buyers seeking to combine limousine space with city car running costs.

Mercedes turn spy photographers for the baby SLS – the Mercedes SLC/GT It’s almost 4 years since we first revealed there were plans afoot at Mercedes-Benz to build a small, nimbler SLS to take on the Porsche 911 – a car subsequently dubbed the Mercedes SLC – but not until 2014. Well, 2014 is less than half a year away, Mercedes confirmed the SLC was in the mix and now we get a set of ‘spy’ photos of the SLC (or Mercedes GT, perhaps) – straight from Mercedes. It’s not the first time Mercedes has tried to put spy photographers out of business, as both the SLS had ‘official’ spy photos and video, as did the new Mercedes SLK.
