Volvo and Polestar offer post-sale software upgrades

Volvo's performance arm, Polestar, will offer software upgrades for the T6 and 2.5T engines that will increase horsepower and torque. The upgrade should calm Volvo fans who missed out on the limited-edition Polestar C30. For the T6 engine in the 2010 Volvo XC60 and 2009-2010 XC70 Polestar will offer a bump in output from 281 hp to 311 hp.

Audi has launched an extra package for the TT Coupe and Roadster Black Edition – the Amplified Black Package – with extra spec for £700. Car makers like a ‘Black’ edition, but what do you do when you’ve already got a ‘Black’ Edition and want to gild it a bit to get punters to spend a few bob more? 2014 Mercedes S Class REVEALED

There’s not a huge more to say about the new S Class than we already have, but it does look convincing. It takes styling cues from many of Mercedes latest models, but even without the big bulbous wheel arches at the back it’s still very recognisable as an S Class – just a new one. We already know much about what ‘s likely to be on offer at first – S350, S400 and S500 – and what’s to come – S250, S63 AMG, S Class Pullman – and that we’ll see, in due course, both an S Class Coupe and a convertible S Class.
