This stagger stick is a polished aluminum gauge that measures tire circumference from 65" to 115". No need to jack up the car to measure stagger.

Instructions: Measure the circumference of a metal can, wheel or similar object. Make note of the circumference. 2. Position stagger stick around metal can as if you are measuring the can. Mark a line on the inner aluminum tube at the edge where inner and outer tubes meet. Disassemble stagger stick for next step. 3. Find the corresponding circumference measurement on the tape measure decal and position the tape measure decal at the mark. Apply tape measure decal to inner tube.

Even in death, Carroll Shelby still touches us from the heavens above, where we mortals pay tribute in celluloid. The first half of "Need for Speed" (which opens March 14) concerns a Ford Mustang that was "the one Carroll Shelby was building when he died," the characters gush and stumble, barely expressing their praise quickly or coherently enough. "The chariot of the gods," someone says; it's worth "two million, minimum," says someone else.

Ecclestone faces £4 million bill

MOTORSPORT boss Bernie Ecclestone must pay lawyers' bills adding up to about £4 million despite winning a High Court fight with a German media company, a judge has ruled. In February, Mr Justice Newey had dismissed a claim for around £80 million in damages by Constantin Medien - which had said it lost out after Mr Ecclestone entered into a "corrupt agreement" with a banker to facilitate the sale of the Formula 1 Group to a buyer chosen by him. But, despite ruling against Constantin after a High Court trial in London, the judge had described 83-year-old Mr Ecclestone as not "reliable or truthful".
