Ford F-150 to deliver 20 percent fuel-economy gain with V6 engines

Ford Motor Co. today promised a 20 percent improvement in mileage in its 2011 F-150 pickups with a lineup of four new engines. A 3.7-liter V-6 will be standard; a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 with turbocharging and direct injection will be optional.

Di and Johnny, two of the most competitive of the Volkswagen Tiguan People’s Reviewers, pulled out all the stops last week, using their social networks of friends and followers to get out the vote. In the end, Johnny claimed the Group 2 crown, pulling out a victory in a back-and-forth race.

The third annual World Automotive Design Competition, sponsored by Alias, was hosted by the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Ontario, on February 12. Britain's Coventry School of Art and Design, and Tsinghua University in Beijing, China were the big winners, together garnering seven of the eight prizes. Ninety-four students from twenty design schools from China, Brazil, Japan, France, Korea, England, Wales, Italy, Spain, India, Sweden, the USA and Canada competed to win over US$140,000 in prizes.
