Nissan Juke R takes to the track on video

The road-legal Nissan Juke R may never be built, but today Nissan showed off its the GT-R-powered Juke performing on track.  It's a madcap one-off Juke pepped up with the GT-R's 523bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6. The video below was recorded at the MIRA track in Warwickshire, as engineers had a chance to fine-tune the chassis.

Land Rover released the details of the facelifted 2011 Range Rover, and as expected, the changes are subtle. The engines will remain the same. The 5.0-liter, 510-hp supercharged V8 will find a home in the sport model, and the naturally aspirated 375-hp V8 will power the rest of the line.

Plans for Smart’s three-seat sports car uncovered in patent drawings

Mercedes-Benz is developing a three-seat sports car for Smart. Depicted here in a series of European patent-application sketches obtained by AutoWeek, the radical new sports car forms part of an extended range of new Smart models planned for introduction by the middle of the next decade, including a more conventional four-seater to be produced in cooperation with Renault. Mercedes-Benz is reacting to increased competition from Toyota in the form of the iQ and the impending arrival of similar urban-based offerings from premium-brand rivals Audi and BMW.
