Future products: Scion's lineup to grow

Scion was supposed to be Toyota's niche brand of fuel-efficient small cars for hip kids. But the original three-model product lineup is being expanded, so the brand's customer reach may be extended as well. Early next year, Scion will add a rebadged version of the Japan-market Toyota iQ minicar.

Tesla Model S starts at $57,400, tops out at $92,400 when sales start in 2012

Tesla Motors Inc., the U.S. electric-car maker that plans to build a rechargeable sedan in California, said a top-of-the-line version of the Model S will cost as much as $92,400 when it goes on sale in 2012. Tesla released detailed prices, features and options for the Model S sedan Dec.

Video: How DGT Architects created Renault's Paris show stand

The creators of the Renault stand at this year's Paris motor show have released a video explaining how they created one of the most popular show stands in recent years. The DGT Architects-designed Renault stand – named ‘The Bump' – was one of the stars of the show this year with its curves and lighting drawing praise and attracting admirers from across the event.  A total of 388 large squashed light globes that softly glowed a variety of colors were hung from the ceiling and simulated the movements of waves as they illuminated the stand below. To convey a sense of motion to the cars underneath, DGT used the movement of the lights and the creation of two hills.
