Tue, 23 Aug 2011The biannual Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, or the Frankfurt motor show, is again due to take place this September, swapping places with its sister show in Paris. One of the world's largest motor shows – certainly physically – the IAA is held at Frankfurt's Messe complex, and in recent years has been themed, with the last event in 2009 carrying the theme of ‘electrification', with virtually every manufacturer revealing a vehicle using the latest battery technology. Fittingly, the most notable unveil at that show was the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept, which was easily the most innovative and original car of 2009.
Porsche BlueSport back on – but we knew that

Last year it was a case of ‘Spot the BlueSport’ as rumours ran wild over which parts of the VW Group (what happened to re-naming it Auto Union – another of last year’s rumours?) would run with the ‘Baby Roadster’ platform VW had developed. Well it finally looks as if the rumours are starting to become substance.

Wed, 01 Sep 2010Toyota is returning to the mini-MPV sector with the new Verso-S, set to be unveiled at the upcoming 2010 Paris motor show. Think of it as successor to the old Yaris Verso, only now it's a lot better looking, with hints of the iQ city car around the nose. Yes.
