A Vauxhall executive has made a bold statement – from now on, cars are not going to get any bigger. General vehicle dimensions across each sector of car are roughly now set to be fixed. “You can put a pin in a chart now,” explained the firm’s marketing director Stuart Harris.

THERE ARE still nearly one million MG and Rover cars on the road, according to a study by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. These figures demonstrate the longevity of MG Rover cars and the continued success of parts specialist XPart in keeping these highly regarded vehicles on the road. The news came at the suitably swanky Concours of Elegance in Hampton Court Palace, London. Bristol Cars crashed into administration in 2011, but was snapped up by Kamkorp Autokraft, part of the Frazer-Nash group.
