All the proceeds will go to the Austin Hatcher Foundation, a charity to help families and children affected by pediatric cancer. This year's show is set to be a vintage year for production models with a small cars such as the new Renault Twingo, Mazda2 and Skoda Fabia all being launched. Further up the scale, both Ford and Fiat will show replacements for key models - the third generation Mondeo and stunning new Bravo respectively.
BMW spends $900 million on South Carolina plant to build the X4 SUV
Thu, 12 Jan 2012BMW is expanding its lineup with the X4 and growing its manufacturing base with a $900 million investment in its Spartanburg, S.C., assembly plant. "This is in response to rising global demand for the BMW X family to include the BMW X4," BMW board member Frank-Peter Arndt said. BMW says the investment will create 300 new jobs at the plant.
