Fri, 15 Nov 2013BMW has revealed its new i8 petrol-electric range-extender supercar will cost from £99,895 – and dealers are already taking pre-orders for the 155mph, 113mpg coupe. The high-performance i8 will be the second BMW i car to go on sale, following the launch of the i3 electric city car which goes on sale in BMW dealers this weekend. The new model is based on the existing 12C and McLaren says that it bridges the gap between that car and its P1 ‘hypercar’. Prices start at £195,000 for the 650S coupe and £215,000 for the convertible 650S Spider and represent a premium of about £20,000 over the equivalent 12C and 12C Spider models.
Bugatti sells its last Veyron
Fri, 24 Jun 2011Bugatti has sold the last of its 300 Veyron 16.4 supercars. The customer of the final Veyron is based in Europe and is new to the Bugatti marque. Bugatti Veyron: the controversial king of the supercar world Volkswagen Group picked up the Bugatti name in 1998, following the 1995 bankruptcy of Romano Artioli's Modena-based Bugatti factory, which had produced the EB110 quad-turbo V12 supercar.
