Lamborghini produces 2000th Aventador

Owing its heritage to the likes of the Miura, Countach, Diablo and Murcielago, the Aventador continues to be Lamborghini's halo car and everyone's favorite poster. As production of the coupe, roadster and other various editions continue at Lamborghini's Sant'Agata Bolognese plant, the automaker celebrated a milestone with 2,000 units being made as of Thursday.

Thu, 22 Aug 2013After yesterday's news that Gran Turismo 6 will feature an exclusive car from BMW, it seems it's not alone, with 17 other brands creating bespoke designs for the Vision Gran Turismo project. Design teams from Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Bertone, GM Design, Honda, Infiniti, Italdesign Giugiaro, JORDAN Brand, Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Nissan, Peugeot, SRT, Volkswagen and Zagato are creating models for the latest edition in the series. The project comes as a result of a collaboration between the game's creators and its design partners to celebrate the franchise's 15-year anniversary.
Third annual World Automotive Design Competition
Wed, 10 Mar 2004The third annual World Automotive Design Competition, sponsored by Alias, was hosted by the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Ontario, on February 12. Britain's Coventry School of Art and Design, and Tsinghua University in Beijing, China were the big winners, together garnering seven of the eight prizes. Ninety-four students from twenty design schools from China, Brazil, Japan, France, Korea, England, Wales, Italy, Spain, India, Sweden, the USA and Canada competed to win over US$140,000 in prizes.
